B J Ranganath :- Dr B J Rangnath, Professor and Head, Department of Industrial and Production Engineering, National Institute of Engineering, Mysore is actively engaged for the past 34 years in teaching undergraduate/postgraduate courses, research and development and industrial consultancy in the field of manufacturing engineering in general and Metal Cutting and Tool Design in particular. In these areas he has published about 50 technical papers in reputed journals, and spoken at National and international conferences. He has guided many research projects. He has served in various academic bodies of many Indian universities. A graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Mysore University, he got his M.Tech in Production Engineering from Madras University and his Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras under the guidance of Dr.V.C. Venkatesh, who is at present a Professor at Tennessee Technological University, U S A.
